Among the listings under the heading of "Thanksgiving" on Etsy's Web site you will find . . . a felt Yoda Christmas ornament? This confused me, so I clicked on the item - and discovered Nicola Luke's Etsy page. Nicola makes some pretty rad felt ornaments, and I could not help but notice that a lot of them were Star Wars-themed. (Hey, I just noticed that her last name's Luke; perhaps that explains it.) Most of the usual suspects were there: Boba Fett, Darth Vader (in two colors - not sure what that's all about), the droids, etc.
Oh, and Wicket the Ewok:
I'm digging Princess Leia, too. Seriously, I have never seen a whipstitched felt rendition of Princess Leia before. Well, until a few minutes ago.
By the way, do you ever stop to wonder about stuff on your hard drive, and how people would react to it if they were going through your computer files after your demise, without you there to provide back stories? "Um, what's this JPG file called 'Felt Leia' all about?"
Anyway, sharing the bounty with the blogosphere. I seem to recall that a certain reader of this blog happens to display a Star Wars-themed Christmas tree in her garage each year. Things I love about this: (1) She lets her husband have a Star Wars-themed Christmas tree. (2) But he has to keep it in the garage.
I'm thinking that he needs a felt Ewok for his collection.
